Eco-development is the basis for park city. Chengdu proposed during the "14th Five-Year Plan" focusing on the practice of new development concept of park city and building an ecological demonstration city, so as to make Chengdu's sky bluer, water greener, air fresher, and the environment better.
Xiwayan project is one of the "Ten Green Projects for a Happy and Beautiful Life" in Chengdu, with an underground reclaimed water plant with capacity of 200,000m³/d and a storage tank of 160,000m³, as well as supporting municipal landscape park. After completion, it will improve the regenerative water treatment capacity of downtown area, relieve the operating pressure of the pipe network in southern area, and have significance for forming a good urban water ecology, connecting green urban space, and improving the ecological environment of the Minjiang River basin.
The project with the largest single storage tank volume, the longest flushing gallery and the most flushing door applications.
Xiwayan reclaimed water plant is an important sewage treatment facility in Chengdu city center. In order to solve the problem of sewage overflow in rainy season, the project added a combined sewage storage facility.
Guhong has supplied 56 HydroSelf flushing systems for this project. It has a strong demonstration significance for the construction of domestic storage tanks.
The storage tank can receive a large amount of overflow sewage, so as to meet the increasing water consumption due to the growth of population and ensure the safety of natural water bodies during the rainy season.
This is also the fourth fully-buried reclaimed water plant/storage tank project undertaken by Guhong in Chengdu over the past year, following Chengdu Seventh Reclaimed Water Plant (Phase II), Chengdu Third Reclaimed Water Plant and Storage Tank Project, and Fenghuanghe Ergou Reclaimed Water Plant.
